Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 18, 2026. This policy applies to the Klippa iOS app (beta) and the getklippa.com website.

All of your mow data, including mows, durations, stats, and your lawn boundary, is stored locally on your device. We operate no servers and hold no user accounts. We cannot see your data.

Location

With your permission, the app reads your location once per map session to center the satellite map on your yard. This happens in the foreground only, while you are using the app. We do not store your coordinates off your device.

Maps and Mapbox

Maps are provided by Mapbox. When the map loads, your device sends Mapbox the map area being viewed, which is typically your home area, along with your IP address and our Mapbox access token. The Mapbox SDK also collects anonymized usage telemetry by default. You can read how Mapbox handles this data in the Mapbox privacy policy.

Website signup

If you enter your email address in the signup form on getklippa.com, we store your email address and the date you signed up so we can send you Klippa updates. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm the form is submitted by a person and not a bot. Your email is used only for Klippa updates. It is never shared or sold. Email us at [email protected] to have it removed at any time.

What we do not do

No analytics.
No crash reporting.
No ads.
No tracking SDKs.
No sale of your data.
No user accounts.
No email collection inside the app.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app deletes all of your data, because it only exists on your device.

Beta note

This policy covers the current beta. If we add accounts or sync in the future, we will update this policy before those features ship.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13.
